Estrategias del Ministerio de Salud Pública para la prevención de la desnutrición infantil

| dc.description.abstract | En Ecuador, el 20.1% de los niños menores de 2 años se ven afectados por la desnutrición, una situación preocupante que representa un serio desafío para la salud pública (UNICEF, 2023) por ello, es importante tener un conocimiento actualizado de las estrategias que se utilizan en Ecuador para poder enfrentar esta situación; de esta manera, esta investigación positivista, cuantitativa, documental, descriptiva, tuvo como objetivo: Determinar las Estrategias Utilizadas por el Ministerio de Salud Pública para la Prevención de la Desnutrición Infantil en Ecuador. Para la selección bibliográfica se utilizó una metodología de mapeo sistemático, el cual, permitió seleccionar 20 documentos, mediante el proceso de inclusión y exclusión; se seleccionaron 3 estrategias como las más adecuadas y actuales, permitiendo realizar un adecuado estudio sobre la temática en estudio; este estudio se enfocó en la estrategia y su objetivo: Ecuador Crece sin Desnutrición, objetivo: reducir la desnutrición infantil, de un 20% al 17.5%; Misión Ternura, objetivo: de 24% al 20 %, y Plan Intersectorial de Alimentación, Nutrición Ecuador, objetivo: del 27,2% al 14,8%, con lo que se puede concluir, con base en la investigación, que las estrategias estudiadas hacen énfasis en la importancia a los cuidados prenatales, postnatales, lactancia materna exclusiva, el apoyo de suplementos nutricionales y una adecuada educación a las madres o cuidadores, ya que se considera el componente principal en el proceso, tratamiento y seguimiento del niño. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Malnutrition has affected 20.1% of children under 2 years of age in Ecuador, which gives alarming results and makes it a public health problem (UNICEF, 2023) which is why it is important to have updated knowledge of the strategies that are used in Ecuador to be able to face this situation in this way this positivist, qualitative research based on a documentary review, the objective is determine the strategies used by MINISTERIO DE SALUD PÚBLICA (M.S.P) for the prevention of childhood malnutrition in Ecuador. Por the bibliographic selection a systematic mapping methodology was allowed the compilation of 20 documents of which with the inclusion and exclusion process, 3 strategies were defined as the most appropriate and current in which the allow a good process for prevention control and treatment of child nutrition in Ecuador mentioning the strategy and its objective as Ecuador Grows without malnutrition with the objective of reducing it from 20% to 17.5% Mission Ternura with objectives from 24% to 20% and intersectoral food Plan Nutrition Ecuador Whit the objective of 27.02% to 14.8% with which it can be concluded that based on the research the show that the strategies emphasize giving important to prenatal postnatal care, exclusive breastfeeding and the support of nutritional supplements an adequate education for mothers or caregivers since they are the main component in the process, treatment and monitoring of the child | |
